Motor racing enthusiasts will love this Mount Panorama private tour from Sydney to Bathurst via the Blue Mountains, visiting Australia's most famous racing circuit and the National Motor Racing Museum. It's an 11-hour, door-to-door day covering approximately 420km round trip — 203km each way from the Sydney CBD — travelling in a luxury Mercedes V-Class that seats up to seven guests, with pickup available from all Sydney CBD hotels.
The experience
We head directly west from Sydney, crossing the Blue Mountains to the heart of Australian motorsport. Along the way, we stop at Echo Point to view the famous Three Sisters before continuing on to Bathurst.
Upon arrival, we take a lap of the circuit — travelling the full track in the vehicle, pausing at the summit for the view over the city. The circuit is a public road on non-race days, so standard speed limits apply. After your lap, we spend time at the National Motor Racing Museum, home to some of Australia's most famous touring race cars and motorcycles.
Along the way
The day takes in the Mount Panorama Racing Circuit and a full lap by public road, the National Motor Racing Museum, and Echo Point in the Blue Mountains for the Three Sisters and Cahill's Lookout. In Bathurst township, there's time for lunch at your own expense, with The Lolly Bug a favourite stop for coffee and a sweet treat along the way.
