Blue Mountains Afternoon Tour

A relaxed 7-hour private Blue Mountains tour, departing at 12pm — no early starts, just the mountain highlights at your own pace.

Introduction

A private Blue Mountains tour from Sydney is built for guests who want the highlights without a full-day commitment. Whether you're arriving into Sydney that morning or simply working around a packed schedule, this focused 7-hour experience gets you into the mountains and back — away from the crowds, in a luxury Mercedes or similar vehicle.

How your afternoon tour works

  • Later Departure: We depart at 12:00 PM and return to Sydney around 7:00 PM — no early starts required.
  • Door-to-Door Service: We collect you directly from your Sydney CBD hotel, cruise terminal, or Sydney Airport (airport pickup available at additional cost) and return you to your CBD hotel.
  • Your Itinerary, Your Pace: Travelling privately means we can adjust the day around you — spending longer where it matters and moving on when you're ready.

Please note, this tour is not suitable for pickups outside of the CBD due to less time in the mountains.

What you'll see on your private Blue Mountains Afternoon Tour

  • Glenbrook: Stop briefly at Glenbrook, a lower mountains village for coffee and a snack if required.
  • Wentworth Falls: A scenic walk through this beautiful area with good chances of spotting local wildlife.
  • Leura Village: Time to stop for lunch and explore the village at your own pace.
  • Echo Point: The iconic Three Sisters rock formation, with time to properly take in the view at your own pace.
  • Cahill's Lookout & Boar's Head (Time Permitting): Sweeping views across the western edge of the mountains to close the day.

Your itinerary also includes scenic hiking trails leading to a beautiful waterfall, offering the perfect opportunity to spot native wildlife in the wild.

Flexible itinerary and time management

The afternoon tour runs around 7 hours and focuses on the best lookouts and walks of the upper mountains. You're welcome to linger longer at spots you love, but that time comes from somewhere else in the day, so we may not reach every stop on the list. Yes, same-day bookings are possible as we have a 2 hour cutoff therefore you could book up until 10:00 PA on the day of your tour depending on availability. We run a flexible, operation, so we'll accommodate as best we can.

If you've missed this cutoff, get in touch via WhatsApp for an immediate answer as the fastest way to check is to message or call us directly on WhatsApp at +61 407 251 296, and We'll confirm availability as quickly as we can.

Can we depart in the afternoon on a Blue Mountains Afternoon Tour

Yes, the afternoon tour is designed with flexibility in mind, including afternoon departure up to 12:00 PM. It works well for same-day arrivals and same-day bookings, so you're not stuck waiting until the next day to get out and see the mountains.

Can you pick us up from the airport on a Blue Mountains Afternoon tour?

Yes, we can collect you from the airport and head straight to the Blue Mountains, dropping you at your hotel at the end of the tour. It's a practical way to make the most of an arrival day instead of losing it to check-in and rest. Please note: additional airport fees.may apply.

What will we see on the half day Blue Mountains tour?

The half day tour covers Wentworth Falls, Leura village and Echo Point at the Three Sisters, with an optional coffee stop at Glenbrook on the way up. If time allows, we finish with views over the western edge of the mountains from Cahill's Lookout and Boar's Head. Because the tour is private, we adjust the pace and stops to what your group wants to see.

Is the afternoon Blue Mountains tour suitable for kids or elderly guests?

Yes. Because it's private, I can adjust the pace, walking distances, and stops to suit your group — whether that means shorter strolls with kids in tow or gentler terrain for less mobile guests. Just let us know before the day so we can plan accordingly.

What's the difference between the afternoon tour and full day Blue Mountains tour?

The afternoon tour typically starts at 12:00 PM and covers the essential lookouts in 7 hours, ideal for a tight schedule or same-day arrival. The full day Blue Mountains tour is a 9 hour tour which covers more ground and includes additional villages and lookouts for guests with a full day to spare. This option is best for guests who would like to incorporate Featherdale and Scenic World.

Can cruise ship passengers do the Blue Mountains afternoon tour?

Yes, the tour start times can be adjusted if you're coming in on a cruise ship for a fixed return time. I collect you from the cruise terminal and have you back well within your departure window, so you can see the mountains without cutting it close on reboarding.

Can you accommodate for our luggage and drop us to our hotel or airport afterwards

Yes, we can carry your luggage with us during your tour. Bear in mind we cannot take as many passengers with luggage. With heavy luggage our reccomendation is for 4 guests. Feel free to ask if in doubt.
