Small Group Blue Mountains Tour
Escape The CrowdsA small group tour that's actually small. We cap this Blue Mountains experience at just 5 guests, sharing the vehicle with at most one other booking — we call it semi private, a genuine middle ground between a crowded bus tour and a fully private charter.
Forget the rigid timetable of a big bus tour packed with strangers. This is a small group Blue Mountains tour — semi private and capped at just 5 guests — led by a guide with private touring experience since 2009. From the moment we collect you from your Sydney CBD accommodation, you're travelling with an experienced local, not a distant call centre.
A small group Blue Mountains tour, done properly
You didn't travel all the way to Australia to look at the Blue Mountains through a crowded coach window. Led by a guide with private touring experience since 2009, we help visitors experience this stunning region the way it deserves — in a small group capped at just 5 guests, not a busload of strangers.
Instead of a rigid coach schedule herding you through the main sights, your day follows a considered route built around the spots larger tours simply can't reach.
Small group luxury touring
Travel in a premium touring vehicle, capped at just 5 guests — a genuine step up from the mini buses most small group tours use. You'll share the vehicle with at most one other booking, alongside a guide who knows these mountains intimately, and crucially, knows exactly where the big tourist crowds aren't.
Whether it's beating the morning rush at the Three Sisters, discovering a quiet walking track, or spending time with native wildlife at Featherdale Wildlife Park — included in your semi private tour — you'll travel in total comfort with a small, considered group.
Beyond the crowded viewpoints
The Three Sisters are spectacular, but this 10,000 square kilometre UNESCO World Heritage-listed wilderness holds hidden valleys and lookouts that large buses simply cannot access — the same places we take our small group tours to escape the crowds.
When it's time to eat, we bypass the standard tourist cafés for local spots actually worth stopping for with far fewer customers.

FAQs
Is this a small group tour or a semi private tour?
It's genuinely both, in the best sense of each. Most tours marketed as "small group" in the Blue Mountains still mean 15 to 20 people in a mini bus. This tour is capped at just 5 guests, shared across a few separate bookings rather than one large group — we call it semi private, since it sits between a crowded group tour and a fully private charter. Travelling as 4 or more? Our Private Blue Mountains Tour seats up to 7 exclusively.
How far are the Blue Mountains from Sydney?
Around 100 km, roughly 90 minutes to two hours' drive depending on traffic. On this tour that drive isn't done in one stretch — since the itinerary is fixed, we can tell you exactly how the day breaks up: Featherdale Wildlife Park not far out of the city, Glenbrook for lunch, then the climb up to Wentworth Falls before the upper mountains and its lookouts. Pickup is from your Sydney CBD hotel, with the tour departing at 10:00 AM Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Who will I be sharing the tour with?
This tour combines two separate bookings into one small group of up to 5 guests — never a mini bus full of strangers. Bookings are limited to 2 or 3 guests each, so you might share the vehicle with one other couple, or a small party of 3. Travelling as a group of 4 or more? Our Private Blue Mountains Tour seats up to 7 exclusively, with no sharing at all.
What days does this tour actually run?
This semi private Blue Mountains tour departs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:00 AM, returning to your Sydney CBD hotel by approximately 6:00 PM. Need a different day? Our Private Blue Mountains Tour runs year-round with flexible departure times to suit your schedule.
Why is this tour limited to 2 or 3 guests per booking?
Capping each booking at 2 or 3 guests keeps this a genuinely small group experience, and leaves room for another booking to join the same departure. It also keeps the pricing fair — beyond 3 or 4 guests, the per-person cost starts approaching what our fully private tour costs, so a larger group is generally better served booking that instead.
